Guiding high school seniors and college students toward success through essential mentorship and guidance.

The Starting Point

Conducting user research and gathering insights will help identify the specific challenges students face and the type of support they seek. From there, defining the key features and functionalities of the app, such as building trust between mentors and mentees, implementing an effective matching process, and fostering long-term engagement, will lay the foundation for the app's design. Additionally, considering the importance of user-friendly interface and intuitive navigation, while incorporating personalized recommendations and resources, will enhance the overall user experience.

User Research

Through interviews, surveys, and usability studies, valuable information was gathered to guide the design process. Participants expressed a strong desire for personalized mentorship, access to a diverse pool of mentors, and easy communication channels. They also highlighted the importance of relevant resources and the ability to track progress and set goals within the app. The findings from this research provide a foundation for creating a user-centric mentoring app that addresses the specific needs of high school seniors and college students, empowering them to succeed in their educational pursuits.

Some challenges were faced when designing such as, building trust between mentors and mentees through verified qualifications and transparent profiles, developing an effective matching process that aligns students with suitable mentors, and maintaining long-term engagement.

Wireframe

The wireframe should prioritize a clear and intuitive user interface that allows students to easily navigate through the app and find suitable mentors. The matching process can be represented through visual elements that show the alignment of mentees' needs and interests with mentors' expertise and qualifications. To address the challenge of maintaining engagement, the wireframe can include features such as goal-setting mechanisms, progress tracking, and interactive elements that encourage regular communication and interaction between mentors and mentees.
